Know The Meadow Utah Hot Springs Rules Of Soaking
The Meadow Hot Springs are located on private property. To keep them accessible for years to come, the property owner has a cash box on-site to preserve and protect this rural area of Fillmore. If you wish to contribute financially, please leave a donation. To protect these fragile places for future generations, we’re sharing essential hot spring etiquette:
- Keep the noise down: Don’t be that person to interrupt everyone’s peace. Be mindful of others and keep your voice down.
- Leave Soap & Shampoo At home: You should know that the water in these geothermal pools is different from your bath. They have a delicate balance of minerals that can be ruined by the chemicals in your soap and shampoo.
- Do NOT Pee in the pools: Don’t pee in the pool, seriously that’s gross! Make sure to use the bathroom before coming so you don’t be a jerk and pollute it with your urine.
- Ditch the glass drinks: Glass bottles can be very dangerous as they can shatter into a million pieces.
- Leave No Trace: it’s our responsibility to be good stewards of our public spaces. If you see trash, even if it’s not yours- pick it up!
- Swimsuits Required: The owners have requested that you refrain from bathing naked in their pools.
Please respect the private property and land owner’s wishes and obey these rules posted at the main gate to ensure that this beautiful natural resource remains open for public use for years to come.
Three Different Pools
We’ve been to quite a few hot springs around the US, but this collection of three natural pools in Utah is like nothing I’ve experienced before. Making them a must-add to your things to do in Fillmore Utah bucket list.
Tucked away in a cow pasture are three different hot spring pools. The first pool is farther away from the other two and is the biggest. Walking towards the other two pools, you’ll see that they’re both tucked up against the fence one having a wooden dock along the edge hanging over the deep end of the pool.
How Deep are these Utah Hot Springs
There are three different deep water pools, but one is significantly deeper than the others at 20 ft depth and with the capacity to hold at least 20 people at a time.
Is Meadow Utah Hot Springs Busy
When you go to these natural Fillmore Hot Springs Pools, be prepared for visitors and locals. The weekends are especially busy so keep that in mind when planning your trip. If it’s solitude you’re looking for then try one of the other two hot springs pools where there may be fewer people soaking.
Hot Spring Temperature 🌡️
The water temperature of these thermal springs fluctuates slightly throughout the year due to changing weather conditions. But, the geothermal water can usually be enjoyed year round. The warmest pool sits around 100 degrees Fahrenheit, so be sure to dress appropriately and bring towels.
The water in the largest pool was the perfect temperature for us and was very clear, allowing for a fun time if you dive down.
Are there Fish in Meadow Hot Springs?
No, there are no fish in Meadow Hot Spring Utah (at least when we visited).

Are these still open? I’m confused because on maps it says permanently closed
Oh wow! They might be closed now. Maybe there were too many people disrespecting the property and the owners closed it down.
I went yesterday and had a great time! Still open. There are fish in the 3rd pool but it is much cooler.
I’m glad you enjoyed yourself! And, it’s great to hear that the hot springs are still open to the public.
Hi Kevin, may I ask how deep are the pools. I am novice swimmer and not too confident with the deep pools.
Took the short 5 mile drive off I 15 to the springs. Great place !! Visited all 3 pools. Each were different. Cooler water and Fish, middle one was Luke warm, last was clear and 100 degrees.
Well worth the stop!!
Lots of pot holes so i recommend you park at first opening and walk around to each pool.
Thanks for the update Valeri! Glad you had a great time.
