My name is Nicoll and I am the storyteller behind Living Tiny With A Wolf. I currently live and travel full time in a 28 ft Outdoors RV travel trailer with my husband, Jake. We started our journey on the road in a 16 ft cargo trailer with our two dogs and wolf hybrid in 2019!

A lot of people ask why we decided to get rid of all our stuff and live in an RV, and the answer is actually more simple than you would guess… Freedom. Living with less means you get to make more memories, instead of collecting more things. And we have gained more experiences, learned about ourselves, and grown stronger as a couple because we live this way. It’s such a beautiful gift to have a home that goes anywhere.

I decided to launch this blog because I want to encourage others to find joy in exploring this beautiful world God has created for us.

We believe that life is meant to be lived adventurously, and we’re here to help others do just that. My goal is to show people that they don’t have to be wealthy or experienced travelers to see the world—all you need is a sense of adventure.

Join us on our journey as we explore all that this big, beautiful world has to offer!

Our story begins in 2018 when I swiped right on a dating app called Bumble (I never thought it was possible to meet the love of your life on a dating app, but here we are). And matched with Jake Davis, a handsome young man traveling solo in a cargo trailer. He picked me up for our first date and I hobbled out of my house on crutches with a torn ACL to meet him.

We discussed how mundane and predictable ‘traditional’ life was. Go to work, clean house, pay bills, rinse, and repeat. Vacations always had an endpoint, and weekends felt too short. So we decided to renovate the Cargo trailer to make more room for me and a rapidly growing wolf dog.

In June of 2019, he surprised me with a plane ride over the Rocky Mountains and asked me to marry him. By the end of that summer, I was walking through the National Forest in a white dress to become his wife. I still remember our wedding like it was yesterday. Seeing the tears in his eyes when I walked down the aisle—I will never forget. It was simple, it was perfect. It was just us standing before God, entering into holy matrimony together.

A week after we tied the knot, we took off in our renovated cargo trailer and haven’t looked back since. So far, we have been on the road full-time together for over four years, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. You can follow our pack and latest escapades  @livingtinywithawolf
